Chiropractic care is a form of care that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and neurological problems.
Chiropractors use specific adjustments to correct misalignments that cause disruption to the nervous system. This can help reduce pain, improve mobility, and promote overall wellness.
Chiropractic care can help with a variety of conditions such as any body pain, tightness and weak muscles. It can also, restore the proper function of the nervous system, as your body is dependent on your nervous system functioning optimally.
It stands for instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. This is a technique used with specialized tools to manipulate the skin, myofascial, muscles, and tendons with various direct compressive strokes. This can improve the range of motion, strength, and perception of pain.
These modalities are applied to help reduce inflammation, increase tissue healing, decrease pain, improve circulation, increase ROM (range of motion), and enhance muscle activation. These modalities include: TENS & EMS, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Thermal Energy (application of therapeutic heat and cold), and Soft Tissue Therapy.
Cupping therapy is when cups are put on the skin to create a suction. Causing the tissue beneath the cup to be drawn up and swell causing an increase in blood flow to the affected area. That blood flow will cause impurities and toxins to be pulled away from the tissues and organs toward the surface to be eliminated.
Therapeutic exercises are prescribed movements to help in correcting the patients' impairments. These exercises will restore muscular function and help the patient maintain a state of well-being. The type of exercises used is strengthening exercises, stretching, balance and coordination.
